Notice is hereby given that the City of Rogers, hereinafter called the Owner, will accept sealed bids for furnishing all labor, tools and equipment needed for the construction of the Project identified as: Osage Creek Natural Area Stream Restoration, located in Rogers, Arkansas.
The purpose of this project is to restore a 2,000 ft section of upper Osage Creek and 800 feet section of Stoney Brook that will reduce streambank erosion and improve aquatic and terrestrial habitat. Work includes 850 feet of toe-wood with two layers of soil mattress, several grade control structures, clearing and grubbing, channel excavation, and 400 feet of a stack rock wall to bedrock. All materials will be provided for this project.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on site at 2200 S 54th St off of W. Stoney Brook Road, Rogers, Arkansas 72758 at 3:00 PM, local time on December 11th, 2019. Representatives of Owner and Consultant/Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the conference. Consultant/Engineer will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda as Consultant considers necessary in response to questions arising at the conference. Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective.
Sealed bids must be received no later than 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2019 and should be addressed to the City Clerk @ 301 W. Chestnut, Rogers, AR 72756, in a sealed envelope marked “Osage Creek Natural Area Stream Restoration”. Bids received after the above time and date will be rejected. Bid security, as defined in the Instructions To Bidders, in the amount of five percent of the Bid amount must accompany the submitted bid.
Bid opening will be held on December 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., in the Community Room at the Rogers City Hall, 301 W. Chestnut.
Bidders shall make such inspection and studies of the site of the work as to familiarize themselves with all conditions to be encountered.
The City of Rogers hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply.
Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of these addenda by including them in their bid submission. Failure to include these addenda may result in rejection of the bid submission.
