The Rogers Fire Department's Citizens Fire Academy allows citizens in the Rogers area to learn how the department operates; focusing on administrative, emergency, and training polices and procedures. The academy runs for 6 weeks and consists of 3 hour sessions.
Each session covers a different area of operations in the department with topics such as:
Building construction CPR Training
History of the department
Search and rescue
Use of the Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
The academy is hands-on and participants will get to perform many different tasks including: vehicle extrication, fire hose operations, and many more hands-on activities.
The academy is open to anyone over the age of 18 who lives or works inside the City of Rogers. The academy will be taught at the Rogers Fire Training Center located at 3003 West Oak Street on Thursday nights starting at 6 p.m.
