Building Inspections

Responsibilities 
The Building Inspection Office is responsible for enforcement and compliance of the building and life safety codes and to ensure that structures are safe to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public. This department reviews all commercial plans prior to building permit approval and issues building permits and all applicable sub-permits for the construction of: 
            
  • New commercial buildings            
  • New homes
  • Commercial additions & remodels
  • Residential additions & remodels
  • Demolition
  • House moving & tents
  
Licensing  
Contractors 
The following license information, by trade, is required in order to obtain a permit in the City of Rogers:
 
  • State Contractors license
  • Master Plumbing license
  • Master Electrical license
  • Mechanical license
  • General Liability Insurance
  • City Business license

Businesses 
This office conducts Certificate of Occupancy inspections for new businesses. You will need to contact our office prior to opening to schedule a date and time for your inspection. Any new business, change of location or change of ownership would require an occupancy inspection in order to obtain your business license.
