- Yard Waste Disposal
Yard Waste Disposal
The City of Rogers encourages its residents to manage their yard waste using on-site techniques such as backyard compositing and mulching mowers. Composting and mulching saves limited landfill resources and improves plant health while helping retain soil moisture. Alternatively, yard waste may be dropped of at either the Rogers Recycling Center or the Rogers Street Department. You must be a Rogers resident and present a current water bill along with a photo ID. Trees, limbs, leaves, grass, shrubs are acceptable forms of accepted vegetation. Items that are not accepted include: lumber, plywood, building materials or yard waste contaminated with trash or items generated from businesses or contractors.
The City of Rogers offers free mulch at both yard waste facilities, the Rogers Recycling Center and the Rogers Street Department. Help yourself to as much mulch as you would like. Be sure to bring your own shovel, bags and containers. A current water bill is not needed to collect the free mulch.
Furthermore, yard waste may be disposed of by purchasing yellow yard waste bags from Inland Waste Solutions for $2 each. These bags will be picked up curbside on your regular solid waste and recycling pickup day.
